Podcast Perfect

26 Nov

Over the last six months or so I have really been digging listening to podcasts. It gives me the opportunity to catch up on my video game news and hear what other people’s opinions are while I’m driving, doing errands or running. Now with the new dedicated Apple podcast app it’s even easier to keep them organized, as well as find new ones similar to the ones I already have. Getting started in finding what podcasts you’ll enjoy can seem a little daunting with the scale of available ones that are out there, so I’ve come up with a few guidelines to help you get started.

Geekmates Cheapskates/ Geek Dates: Movie Night

16 Nov

There’s nothing I love more than a good mashup. Kingdom Hearts mixes my love of Disney with JRPG’s, the R2:D2 and Darth Vader Mickey Mouse ear hats are the cutest things on the planet, and then there are an infinite number of image mashups on the internet that make me fangirl squee.

SQUEEEEEE!

So I present you with my own mashup: an idea that crosses my love for everything cheap with my desire to go on the geekiest of dates with husband man. This is Geekmates Cheapskates and Geek Dates: Movie Night!

Maybe they released at the same time as a few other games you wanted, maybe they were a gift, or maybe you bought them at a great deal in order to eventually crack open. No matter how you acquired them, they weigh on your mind and look back at you from the shelf, begging to be unwrapped and enjoyed. It’s shameful – and sadly, I think I have the largest shame pile, ever. EVER.

Hello, my name is Sarah, and I’m an addict.

I am accused of this often : (

Geekmates Halloween!

1 Nov

It is Halloween, and of course Tony and I dressed up for the occasion! We have been talking about dressing up as a specific famous couple since we met, and finally this year I got into gear early enough to make make it happen! They are from my favorite Disney movie – I know every song including the ones that came on a special cassette of songs NOT in the movie – and Tony and I look like then a little itty bitty bit (I have Native ancestry, and Tony is a super white guy). You probably guessed it by now – Pocahontas and John Smith!

I looked at Tony like this when we first met, too.
