The PVP Podcast Episode 41 – Esports Are the Pyjamas of Pants

12 Sep

I’m uploading late once again but I have excuses. I blame Destiny. And also laziness. This week Dave talks about guiltless gaming, upcoming travels, new steampunk campaigns, and getting back into WoW, and Sarah goes on and on and on about Fan Expo and crying over Nathan Fillion. We also talk about whether or not pyjamas are pants, and Esports!

So many exciting things!

The PVP Podcast Episode 40 – You Can’t Put Your K/D Ratio On Your CV

26 Aug

The Super Best Friends are all together for the first time! Tony and Rae join Sarah and Dave to talk about really cool things! We discuss the biological possibilities of a cure in The Last of Us, cane toads, PhD’s, being destroyed by 12 year olds, finishing awakening, the super sexist guilty pleasure that is Hakuoki, dancing Groot, Tomadachi scandal, and the un-nervingness of P.T.

We also talk about the new Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Editon (and Dave and Sarah break out some sweet Deckard Cain impersonations) and how we are staying friends while ever so far apart.

The PVP Podcast Episode 39 – It’s Rogue, Not Rouge, GOD

13 Aug

This week Dave and Sarah are both really irritated that nobody seems to know these are two different words. Honestly.

We also talk about playing games in big groups, Reddit rage, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Last of Us Remastered, all the Dragon Age origin stories (and how Sarah feels like an ass helping Bhelen), as well as twitch drama and the decline in preorders. As a main topic, we look at all the HD remakes coming our way, and whether or not we care.

Kickstarting Rogues to Riches

12 Aug

Last night I decided to venture down to the Board Room Cafe for the first time. I had noticed on their Facebook group that there was a board game Kickstarter launch party happening, and after reading about the game, thought it seemed right up my alley and headed over.

Oh man, was I right.

I got a chance to talk to Sam Fraser and Julianne Harnish, the creator and the artistic talent behind the game, at the Kickstarter launch party, as well as play a few rounds myself! Keep reading for more!

Dragon Age First Timer

1 Aug

This is mostly screenshots of Twitter. You’ve been forewarned.

I don’t know what took me so long to get around to playing Dragon Age. I have been told by literally a dozen people that I would love it, I bought all of them, I friggin’ love dragons and axe fighting and armour, but I just never got around to starting one of them. Foolish, I know.

I promised Dave that eventually I would play through all the game, and with no job and my thesis pretty much out of the way, it was time.
