Valentine’s Day Cards for Your Geekiest Friends

9 Feb

It’s the week before Valentine’s Day, and all through the grocery store, the shelves are being filled with tempting chocolates that I have to avoid because I know next week they’ll be on a big discount and I can buy even more then. That is what this holiday is about, right?

Kidding! (well, only kind of.)

Geekmates Geek Dates: A LAN Party!

30 Jan

I don’t know about you guys, but I am smack dab in the middle of a case of the winter blues. Yes guys, it’s a real thing – and you should be depressed too with the absolute lack of holidays and long weekends between New Years and Easter! * sigh *

This being said, another Geek Date idea is long overdue, and this one is not only super adaptable to friends, family or lovey dovey types, but also doesn’t make you go outside in the gross, gross weather – a LAN party!

this looks awful.

I’d just rather stay in.

Geekmates Geek Dates: A Gaming Night In

29 Jul

Tony and I are pretty casual people. When we want to spend time together or have a date, we usually default to catching up on our favourite shows, renting a movie or playing some games with delicious take out. Not that Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead are over, however, and Breaking Bad has yet to start, we have been spending some hangout time with controllers and sushi or pizza. Delicious!

Most games, unfortunately, are not geared towards a split screen co-op experience – not to say that they don’t have them, but they just aren’t that great. It has been a little bit of trial and error for us.

OMG WE ARE HAVING SUPER SO MUCH FUN!!
