Fave Five Friday 100812
10 Aug
It’s been way too long since I shared some of my favorite things. So today imma do it! And maybe you’ll think I’m cool with all the things I love : )
1. Little Kiddle Cosplay
I am a huge cosplay fan, and the next time I’m at a convention of any kind I plan on having a killer Assassins Creed or Final Fantasy costume to traipse around in. The cutest thing at the conventions, however, is the little ones dressed up in cosplay costumes. And sure: they probably have no idea who they are. But it’s so friggin’ adorable! I will have little Pikachu babies someday and they will have no idea how awesome they look.
2. Speed Runs
This is crazy and pretty impressive:
I can’t believe some of these things, honestly. They blow my mind! I have never even finished one of the old school Mario games because I find them impossible – the fact that someone can not only finish the whole thing this quickly, but also without dying, is AWESOME!
There’s speed runs of Mario 64, MYST, and even Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. And even though its not technically a “speed run”, there’s also all these examples of people getting to the third disc of FF9 STILL AT LEVEL ONE! omgwhatisthisidon’teven.
This is taking gaming to an insanity level that I really like to watch; usually on youtube when I should be done something actually constructive.
3. LEGO!
Everyone played with Lego as a kid, I don’t care who you are. I remember several Christmas mornings in a row where my brother and I would race down the stairs and find a giant castle or spaceship for us to share/constantly fight over. They were the best! The excellent thing about Lego is you can still totally enjoy yourself building Lego things! Personally, I love the Star Wars sets, the Avengers
sets, and the ones with the little Joker and Batman dudes
.
Building one of these would make an excellent date for your geeky mr. or mrs. too! Reminisce about your childhoods while also saving Gotham from the Joker and his henchmen.
And also, there’s Hogwarts. TAKE ALL MY MONIES!!
4. Themed Drinks
We recently had a gaming sleepover with some friends, and in order to fully engage ourselves in geeky awesomesauce, Rae and I concocted gaming themed drinks: Health, Mana and Stamina potions that would serve well in any JRPG imaginable.
They are so much fun! I would love to create a themed drink for my favourite Avengers or Game of Thrones characters, and the next time we have a gaming date I will definitely be tailoring the food and bev to match!
5. Bobble Heads
There is absolutely no reason why, but their little bobbly heads wobbling around on my shelf or desk give me the happies : D
Until next time!

i can relate to the cosplay and the themed drink but the Lego one
WHY DO YOU BRING BACK PAINFUL MEMORIES
stepping on a Lego
unbearable pain for even the strongest man/woman
ok, you are so right on that, but LEGO is so great to play with even despite the searing pain!
but yeah i use to love making beyblade domes outta it
