Fave Five Fridays 240812

Over the past couple of weeks I have come across some new things that I love, and I think these are all things that I need to share with other people. It’s what I like to call my Fave Five Fridays!

1. Prism Glasses

oh.em.gee. PRISM GLASSES! These are the coolest things ever in my opinion. How many times have you been reading in bed but couldn’t get comfortable. Laying down makes your arms tired, and sitting up hurts your back. I swear I once chipped a tooth dropping my iPhone on my face in bed.

Everyone has done this. Everyone.

Well these prism glasses have solved all my laziness needs! You can lay down in bed and hold your book or DS on your lap and not have to move. God I love being lazy. This makes it even easier to be lazy! xD

2. PS3 Headset

I purchased a new headset for online and multiplayer gaming a couple weeks ago, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I had a couple of needs – easy to use, mic and volume control, wireless – and for under 100$ I got all three! The PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset by FAR sets up best with the Playstation; I had a cheaper headset months ago, and after taking 45 minutes to set it up, it only worked properly 1/3 of the time.

Finally, the sound and the ear seal is fantastic. We even wear them when playing non chat games just to improve the sound quality!

3. Netflix

I’ve always had cable in the house, but Tony and I just don’t watch it. So, we got rid of it, saving ourselves 60$ and freeing up a whole shelf on the entertainment system! Yay!

So now instead we have Netflix, which I must say is MUCH better (even if it is the Canadian one). For 8$/month we have tons of old awesome shows (umm, hello Xena and Buffy!) and movies, including wicked documentaries! AND if you’re ever at a loss on what to watch, check out 2 Broke Geeks! They are super cute, super cheap, and super informative!

4. Geeky Dates

Tony and I are both geeks. Some geeky interests we share, and some we don’t, but we have managed to come up with some ideas of dates we can go on that nurture our interests and also our relationship! Dates are the best, and doing something you love with someone you love is the best combination!

OMG COULD WE BE MORE ATTRACTIVE?!?!

Last weekend we went on a geek date, which will be the beginning date in a new series of blogs we plan on starting next week! Our first was a bookstore/coffee date, and it was fun – we’re really excited to share all of our ideas with you!

For us it was the Simpsons, but pretty much.

5. Collection releases

I’ve talked about how I love playing series in order, and collection editions are the BEST way to get this done. Not only do you get every game in the series in HD, but it also takes up way less space on your shelves! Double Win!

case in point: THIS could use one of them! and maybe also tell me which order they should be played in?!? PLEASE!!

There’s a couple coming out next Tuesday: The God of War Saga, and the Ratchet & Clank Collection. We already have most of the God of War games, but I’ve never played Ratchet and Clank before. I like the idea of getting them all in one shot in one box for a much lower price then buying them all separately! This doesn’t really help you if you already own one or more of the games; but if you want to try it out and have an obsession with order, this is the best for you!
