The Art of Customization

25 Sep

Personalizing your things is fun – not only does it make it discernible from everyone else’s, it also adds a little personal touch to your whatever it is you are personalizing. I don’t do it all that often unfortunately. I’m afraid I will make a choice and then not  like it afterwards, so I really think about what I’m planning before I do it.

One customization I knew I was going to have to make is to the cover of my new blue 3DS XL. With such a large area to work with, and the cuteness of handhelds in general makes it the perfect canvas for some decoration!

booooooooooooooooooorrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnggggggggggg!!

I am on a moustache kick lately. I love them, I think they’re distinguished, and I want to put them on pretty much everything. So of course, a moustache decal was the perfect adornment for my little handheld!. I ordered a sticker from Stickers for Stuff on Etsy (and ohemgee how cute they all are!) and it came yesterday, so I couldn’t wait to put it on!

this is the best decision I have ever made.

The process was pretty easy to figure out – the Etsy shop emails you instructions on how to put it on! I was very anal about lining it up correctly, but I think I did a half decent job!

I did a good job! Yay me!

WOW I am super super happy about this! I think it’s a great size, and I love the gentlemanliness of the ‘stache. Not only that, but the 3D cameras look like little eyes. Holy adoraballs!

I also SUPER love that when I am playing video games in public it will look like this:

I bring distinctiveness with me wherever I go. I’m pretty much a gentleman.

What do you think about customization? Love it? Hate it? Do it yourself? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time!
